How do you promote your business? Word of mouth, an exterior sign, social media, mass mailing? These all work of course, to varying degrees. But that means your customer has to know about you in the first place.
That's where a website is your best customer outreach: he/she just has to know what they're looking for and the Internet search engine will point them to you! No logging into a social media account, trying to recall a telephone number or looking for a lost mailer required.
And, once you have a website, you will be found by a much wider audience and control what it is they see first. Remember, a website doesn't have to be static; it’s ever-changing as your business grows and new products/services are available. A website is cost effective too—changes to your product line, a sale, or holiday hours won't require a trip to the local printer since the new information is instantly updated on your website.
